Blossoms and Baseball in Macon
Oh, the Cherry Blossom Festival was beautiful this year in Macon Georgia! Next year the festival takes place March 28-April 6, if you can, set some time aside to see this beautiful annual event in Macon. If Georgia sports are more your style than flowers, summer brings another Macon attraction - Macon Music Baseball. From May 17 - September 5 you can catch the newly formed Macon Music playing baseball and hosting all sorts of community events at Luther Williams Field, including youth programs and other civic events.

Live it up in Tampa Bay
To me, a weekend in Tampa Bay Florida consists of a couple of days spent relaxing and playing in the sun, and a couple of evenings spent partying! Tampa's such a fun place, with so many great things to do. Pack up my beach gear and head out to the beach for a blissful day spent sunning and snorkling. In the evening put on my dancing shoes and head out on the town, usually to Ybor City where the party lasts into the wee hours of the night! Centro Ybor features clubs, dining, games, and a variety of entertainment (and shopping!). It wouldn't be a vacation without shopping in my book, but Tampa's got that covered too. There's great shopping in Tampa Bay - everything from specialty stores to local markets, from department stores to flea markets! It's a shoppers paradise, why do you think I like it so much? :)

Events : Summer 2007 in Fairbanks Alaska
There are a lot of great events going on in summer in Fairbanks Alaska! Summer 2007 looks like a great season for charity walks, runs, and bike rides - like the Fairbanks 7th Annual Alaska Visitor Industry's Walk for Charity, where participants raise money for local charities as they feast on fabulous food on this fun 3K graze through downtown Fairbanks. This event takes place on May 4.
The American Cancer Society RELAY FOR LIFE of Fairbanks on June 1 offers participants a chance to join a team or form their own and participate with other community members. Runners should come prepared to camp out and enjoy the many fun activities, music, games and entertainment at this family-oriented event.
Summer Solstice:
The 102nd Midnight Sun Baseball Game: The Alaska Goldpanners baseball team begins their widely acclaimed contest without artificial lighting. The "high noon at midnight" classic is an annual ritual on the longest day of the year. Bring the whole family out to Goldpanner Field for some fun in the sun!
The Midnight Sun Run on June 23 is always fun, runners dress up in fun costumes for this 10k run that starts at the UAF Patty Center and ends at Pioneer Park.
